Prayers for the Nation - New Parliamentary Season

Tuesday, 11th September 2018
18:30 - 20:00

Venue: Chapel of St Mary Undercroft, Houses of Parliament, SW1A 0AA

Our monthly prayer service held at the heart of Westminster open to all CCF members and their guests. Prayers for the Nation is a time to gather to pray for MPs, Peers, Parliamentarians and our Government.

Each month the CCF hosts Prayers for the Nation – a prayer service in the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft bringing together Parliamentarians, Charity and Church leaders to focus on and pray about an issue, a campaign or a legislation that they are championing. Parliamentarians who attended and spoke at recent Prayers for the Nation services include the Rt Hon Alistair Burt MP, Harriett Baldwin MP, Fiona Bruce MP, Jeremy Lefroy MP and Baroness Elizabeth Berridge.

After the Summer Recess we will be returning to the Chapel to pray for our Prime Minister, her Cabinet, and the work of the Government, MPs, Peers and their staff. With Brexit fast approaching and the high number of important legislations going through Parliament in the autumn, we believe that the need for Christian Conservatives to gather at the heart of Westminster and pray for the peace and prosperity of our nation has become ever more important.

We have invited the Rt Hon Andrea Leadsom MP, Leader of the House of Commons, and the Reverend Rose Hudson-Wilkin, Chaplain to the Speaker of the House of Commons, to share with us new challenges and opportunities facing Parliament after MPs and Peers return from recess, and lead us in a time of prayer.

Prayers for the Nation begins at 18.30 at the Chapel of St Mary Undercroft in Parliament.

Please allow at least 30 minutes for parliamentary security checks.
