EMPLOYMENT IS UP BY OVER 2.7 MILLION

Unemployment remains at its joint lowest rate for over 10 years, down nearly 900,000 since 2010, giving more families the security of a regular paypacket.

AUTUMN STATEMENT 2016

The 2016 Autumn statement sets out how the Conservatives are providing an economic platform with certainty and stability at its heart.

350,000 MORE PEOPLE IN WORK

 

Between June and September this year unemployment fell by 37,000 and since last year 350,000 more people now have a full time job. That’s 350,000 more people with the security of work, a regular income and better able to provide for themselves and their family.

BY-ELECTION PHONE CANVASSING ON TUESDAYS THIS MONTH

 

 

Over the course of the Witney by-election, volunteers helped CCHQ to make thousands of calls -  it was a crucial part of the campaign and made a huge difference. A wide range of people from volunteers to Cabinet ministers, MPs and Peers came to help.

LOWERING THE CAP ON BENEFITS

At the last election the Conservatives promised to lower the benefits cap to ensure that work pays, whilst protecting those most in need. And now we are delivering on that commitment.

UK GDP GROWTH

Figures released by the Office of National Statistics show that between July and September 2016, the British economy grew by 0.5%, meaning our economy has grown by over 1.5% in 2016.
